Awards for Sustainability, or How to Break Stereotypes
Traditionally in June RIBA National Award announce the winners of architectural awards. During last 50 years, from 1966, jury of Royal Institute of British Architects chooses the best realize projects with local RIBA awards. There are projects mentioned for green technologies among the winners. They receive Sustainability Award, sponsored by SIKA company.
 
In 2016 year ten projects receive Sustainability Award. There are hospitals, schools, libraries, art gallery, private houses and even motorway services realized in different regions of Great Britain. Five of them have both local and national RIBA awards. In this review nine green projects are shown, article about New QEII Hospital in Welwyn Garden City in the East region of England, designed by Penoyre & Prasad published in previous issue (“Green Buildings” 2016/№2)
