Carrier: How to Reduce Energy Consumption in Hotels
In this article we continue to share details of Carrier program “Energy Saving in Hotels”, started in a series of previous publications of Green Buildings magazine. The purpose of this program is to increase the energy efficiency of cooling centers and reduce energy consumption, taking into account the actual loads, climatic and working conditions of hotel buildings operation. Now we will talk about the automation and dispatching UTC CCS WebCTRL system, which allows you to easily manage the building’s engineering systems, including refrigeration center equipment via using the Plant System Manager program.
A significant role in reducing the operating costs of hotels is played by the use of appropriate software for modeling and optimizing of chiller plants. An effective solution is the automation and dispatching system UTC CCS WebCTRL, consisting of two levels: management and automation. On each of them there is a possibility to select the required protocol speed: for management - BACnet / ip or BACnet / ethernet, for automation - BACnet / ARCnet or BACnet / mstp.
WebCTRL from Automated Logic is a building automation system that offers an intuitive user interface and powerful controls. The navigation tree, the intelligent use of color to display indoor temperatures and trends plus great graphics make WebCTRL system very informative and easy to use. WebCTRL allows you to monitor building parameters from anywhere in the world via a standard web browser, eliminating the need for special software on the workstation.
