Kiyonori Kikutake: Beyond Time and Space
Entire professional career of Japanese architect Kiyonori Kikutake (1928–2011) was concerned with the problems of a changing world, particularly urban sprawl and sustainability. He is one of the founders of the metabolism movement in architecture, which originated in Japan in the late 1950s. This theory was based on the principles of individual development of a living organism (ontogenesis) and coevolution.
