MINILOOP: A Bicycle Instead of a Car
The MINILOOP system is a vertical master-planning solution for urban transport systems, as well as a new approach to safe and efficient movement in an urban environment. The concept was developed by Richard Moreta, Professor of architecture, founder and head of Richard’s Architecture + Design (RA+D). The idea is universal, and, in particular, the author proposes to implement it on the territory of The SKOLKOVO Innovation Center.
The concept is an elevated highway for manual or electrical, personalized or public vehicles (mainly bicycles and electric bicycles) enclosed in elevated tracks that allow efficient transit.
The pipes will protect the users in most weather conditions and will allow natural cross ventilation in its installation. By separating the primary bicycle highway from cars, conflicts are mitigated.
