Ecoterrause: Your Own Green World

Just imagine how can be changed life in the big cities, if each apartment owner will be provided with not only an apartment, but also a private terrace for their own garden with a lawn, small and big trees and, and if the climate provides this opportunity – with a real pool. Ecoterrause – is a new absolutely pragmatic type of urban multiapartment building created by the non-professional Moscow architect Alexander Malyshev, in which each apartment is actually turns into a real urban villa and could restore to us daily personal contact with nature, without tiring hours-long trips to the countryside.

Classical or modern architecture, as well as a progressive green architecture, despite a lot of previous attempts, did not offer us any efficient approach for constructing green multi-apartment buildings with terraces and full-scale private gardens and the necessary level of privacy. As a rule, the garden on the terrace only accrue to penthouses in ordinary buildings or duplex apartments, whose second floors lacked daylight because of balconies located above. Sometimes there were stepped terrace buildings, which required large areas of expensive urban land, but, anyway, they were not ideal. As it turned out, the nature itself suggested a solution for a green building of the future, and we just need to use it in construction.

To turn an ordinary house into a house with gardens, we just need to use rather original, but surprisingly simple algorithm of disposition of apartments in the building, which allows single-story apartment with normal ceiling heights obtain the terraces not accessible for neighbors eyes and having a double height ceiling, which provides the necessary space on the terraces and a high level of natural light inside the apartments.

Ecoterrause type house can be completely different forms, heights and sizes and can be constructed even in extremely space-limited environment, e. g. when they are squeezed from three sides. Moreover, these eco-friendly buildings can be of any appearance: ultramodern or adapted according to the local architectural style. Such buildings can have both large and small flats with or without a pool, but in each of them, it is enough to open the door to the eco terrace, in order to safely take a breath with one’s small child, have a barbecue with friends or plunge into one’s own green, blossomy and calming world.
