NOVINKI Community Development Project – the largest project of complex development of the territory in the Volga region of Russia – the satellite town just 2,5 km from Nizhny Novgorod (The Volga region Federal district, Russia) and to the end of construction the area becomes the part of the city. NOVINKI CDP – the project of the European level, which implements the actual concept of Smart City, combining technological solutions, friendliness in relation to environment and comfort of accommodation.
Future satellite town organically integrated in the hilly landscape of the area, which is created the gardening system, formed the foot network of the boulevards surrounding objects of residential and commercial infrastructure. The project of the satellite town is developed with the assistance of the international architectural agency NIKKEN SEKKEI. Community with a population of 40,000 people will become a new core in the South- Western part of the city and will turn over a new page in the history of this mercantile city which once attracted people from around the world. NOVINKI CDP – the most considerable project for social and economic development of Nizhny Novgorod that would be a model of future development for Nizhny Novgorod.
LOCATION
It is located at the place where the Volga River and the Oka River join together. Nizhny Novgorod – the fifth largest city in Russia (population 1,255,159 people), the important economic, transport and cultural center of the country. According to international experts, Nizhny Novgorod in 2012, was included into the top five best cities in Russia for running business. In 2012, the Nizhny Novgorod region became one of the leaders in housing construction. Was commissioned 1.5 million sq. m of residential housing – 64% of the total number was low-rise construction.
Future satellite city will be developed in 2.5 km from Nizhny Novgorod – along two large routes – Nizhny Novgorod-Bogorodsk, Nizhny Novgorod-Arzamas which attests to extremely high traffic convenience. On all sides the residential complex is bordered on forests. To the north is the Oka River embankment. In the long-term development plan of Nizhny Novgorod is put the bridge that will connect the area with the lower part of the city. Also in plans of the Nizhny Novgorod administration – metro station construction in the center of the projected area.
